This year for Mrs. Denman's Birthday Party we would like to give her the gift of books for our library! We would like to do a book drive and have it be a class competition. Whichever class gets the most books wins a popcorn party. The books can be new, used, fiction, non-fiction, educational, picture books etc. We will have a box designated for the drive in each classroom so all the students have to do is drop it in the box and then we will have a volunteer gather the books and tally them weekly.
Everyone has a favorite book in their home that I am sure they would love to see in our school library, and with our students' donations we can continue to fill the shelves of our fast growing library.
The winning class of the book drive will be announced at Mrs. Denman's Birthday party at the school which will take place
Oct. 22nd. We would like to begin the contest as soon as possible for the book drive so start bringing those books in!
