We will continue to hone our paragraph writing abilities with our Riggs homework paragraphs. Exploration of quality adjectives.
The week in review:
Riggs:
wh words, asking questions. Using the checklist, marking all words.
Second graders are using their Guided Reading Workshop time (when they are not with an adult) to craft their paragraphs with a partner. If they don't quite finish, they need to finish at home. They also need to use the checklist with a critical eye at home. In order to minimize homework angst, this will continue indefinitely (practicing new words and red-dotted words, checking work),as opposed to writing the whole paragraph at home too. I hope this helps in your household!
