Your second grader should be able to tell you:
1. That electricity flows through metal (conductive), and that metal must touch metal for the circuit to be closed.
2. How to make a flashlight with wire, a battery, and a light bulb.
3. How to make a motor go with wire, a battery, and a light bulb.
4. How the wiring always went in a circle.
5. How to make a telegraph with a switch, long wire, light (we did lights instead of buzzes), and battery.
6. That Morse code is a combination of longs and shorts to spell out letters.
