It was a wonderful trip down to Salem yesterday! We met some real entomologists and learned what they do: trap bugs, identify bugs, take pictures of bugs, and teach about bugs, with a particular interest in pests/invasive species of Oregon and spiders.
After our tour, the weather was foreboding, so we headed back up to school, where we were able to have a little bug hunt in our own back yard. We also worked through our Greek Fest play, cleaned, and had some quiet read-aloud time.
Have a restful weekend, help your older students with their NON, Wax Museum, and memorizing lines for Midsummer!
Our next field trip is May 30. Many details to follow.
