Last week we painted scrolls in a traditional Chinese style to go with our study of Confucius, one of the most influential scholars, philosophers, and civil servants of ancient China.
Confucianism is more of a philosophy than a religion. It emphasizes goodness, propriety, loyalty, honor, honesty, and respect for ancestors, elders, tradition, and authority.
"I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." --Confucius
"I love water color painting. It makes me feel so peaceful." --Second grade philosopher
