Magnets!

As outlined by The Plan for December, this last week we explored with magnets.

Second graders learned that not all metals are magnetic, only metals containing iron.

 Magnets come in many forms, both manmade and natural.

 Magnets have different strengths, and the size of the magnet does not determine its strength.

Magnets have two poles. Like poles repel. Unlike poles attract.

 Magnetism is an invisible force of nature.  It's not magic!
